Especially if it's open to being a sampler with user-loaded files. It might be that all the computing literally takes up the space of that full wide keybed. Sadly, there's some comment on the DSI forum from DSI saying no desktop will happen. Shame, because I really like the X, but I'd have to clear out some stuff if I wanted to fit it in my setup. I've held out hope for a desktop module, but I too think it's probably not going to happen now. But 8Dios contribution after its release has been the most disappointing to me The X sounds wonderful and has a ton of features. ![]() They haven’t released a sample pack on quite a while either. Tom Shoebridge has a video that reviews the X and he breaks it down a bit. The editor they made never made it past beta and of the three current options is probably the most limited. And, seeing that 8dio has kept up support, and brought out the sample editor, is really awesome.Įhhhhhh I don’t think most of us users feel like 8Dio has done much at all. ![]() Even after all this time it's still the only new keyboard that really excites/interests me for what it brings to the table. I think I'd get more use out of the Prophet X, though. Likely would mean retiring the old Waldorf XTK, which, I could, and could swap that for the XT, but I love my old orange monster.
